FA-18 Hornet Stand

The National Museum of the Marine Corps planned to stage a FA-18 Hornet in a knife-edge/nose-up flight attitude with her nose protruding into exhibit space. The Museum worked with Century Aviation, iWeiss Theatrical Solutions, and Clark Reder Engineering to make that plan a reality. Clark Reder Engineering assisted with the installation of the plane by locating and orientating the plane with 3D modeling and designing the hoist rigging.  The permanent stand structure and it’s foundation that supports the fighter jet were also designed by Clark Reder Engineering.

A time lapse of the project is here.
